Ubiquiti WAN Switch

Product description
Ubiquiti USW-WAN is a 10-Gigabit WAN switch designed for high-availability networks. It aggregates the connection of 2 UniFi Cloud Gateways in Shadow Mode into a single output towards the ISP*, ensuring redundancy in the event of a failure of one of them. The switch is equipped with (2) 10G/1G SFP+ ports for connecting UniFi Cloud Gateways and (1) 10G/1G SFP+ port for WAN connectivity. Power is supplied by two integrated redundant 230V AC power supplies. A (1) 1G/100M/10M Management port is available for device management.
* If you want to use both a primary and backup uplink, a pair of USW-WAN switches is required.
Shadow Mode for High Availability
Shadow Mode ensures gateway high availability by seamlessly transferring gateway and management functionality to a secondary unit in the event of a primary unit failure. Leveraging Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) and firewall connection state tracking, this transition is virtually invisible to end users, maintaining uninterrupted productivity. The mode is available for UDM-Pro-Max, UDM-Pro, UDM-SE, and EFG models with UniFi OS version 4.0.6 or later, and always requires a pair of identical models.
Shadow Mode is just one of the high-availability features – a complete overview of solutions can be found on Ubiquiti’s official website.
Management via UniFi Network Server
The USW-WAN does not have a built-in web interface but is centrally managed via the UniFi Network Server with support from the UniFi mobile app. The UniFi Network Server and mobile app allow administrators to configure and monitor virtually all switch features through a graphical user interface from anywhere.
